This is a view of the Bradford Street building as seen walking south on Washington Street.

The building is over 100 years old and is perhaps the most outstanding building in downtown Sonora, with its copper domed "cupola" visible from a far distance.

Downstairs is the Vault Gallery of Fine Art owned by Kristin Kestley who has been on the same location now for 15 years.

The Bradford Street Gallery & Studios is centrally located in downtown Sonora near four other fine art galleries, and makes a pleasant destination for all appreciators of art.
This is a view of Washington Street looking north, at the corner of Bradford Street. Our gallery is on the immediate right, not seen in this photo.

Washington Street, of course, is the heart of Sonora's downtown. It has clothing stores, many restaurants, a Court House, post office, a bakery, many cafes, a bistro, a few pubs, record stores, gas stations (further away from the downtown area), book stores, a printing shop, lawyers offices, a photographers studio, and other businesses, including the offices of the Sierra Arts Council which has two locations, of which the Workshop Annex is in the Bradford Street building.
As you turn into W. Bradford Street from Washington Street, you can see the door leading up to our studio. This is the door with a rounded archway and orange walls inside.

The large window on the left belongs to the Vault Gallery of Fine Art.

Further up Bradford Street is the Tuolumne County Museum.

The city maintains the downtown area spotlessly clean, as can be seen in this photo.

Here's a close-up view of the entrance way to The Bradford Street Gallery & Studios.

One goes up the stairs and turns right to enter the gallery.

There is ample, free 2-hour parking on the street. And since Sonora is a small town, you'll always find plenty of free parking space.

We are four artists and share the space together. This view is of my space in the the far right corner. Sherie Drake has the space to the immediate right (not pictured here). Irene Deaver has the space at the bottom left, and Linda Webb has the space at the top left. What you are looking at here is a photo taken from the main entrance and looking toward my corner of the gallery.

The paintings you see here are on my display area, behind which is my painting studio and teaching area.
This is a close-up shot of the far wall of my display area which includes the fireplace mantle, and extends to the right into my painting studio. Hanging above the fireplace is a 16 x 20"  painting entitled "Dreamy Spring Day in Tuolumne". On the mantle is a still life entitled "Regal Tulips", and on the floor is a still life that has since been sold.

There are several miniature paintings on the mantle.

This past August, 2006, we celebrated our first year upstairs in the Bradford Building.

Sherie Drake and myself started our Church St. studio together in 2003. In 2004 Irene Deaver joined us. When we moved into the Bradford Street space, Linda Webb also joined us and now we are four artists sharing this gorgeous light-filled space.

Our first year has gone very well. Being in the center of town has been inspiring and makes it easy for our patrons to find us, too.
