Over the past years Kristine's varied places of residence and travel have influenced her art work, from Alaska to the Bahamas, to Peru & Brazil, and 10 years in Southern Africa.

Since moving to California in 1998, Kristine has been teaching art in public schools and privately, working from her Art Studio, located in downtown Sonora.

Kris at Pacific Grove, California
Kristine first exhibited batik art pieces at age 16 for a Renaissance Fair in Nassau, Bahamas, and since then has worked in many other media including lithography, etching, papermaking, weaving, pottery and jewelry, as well as pen & ink, watercolor, pastel, oils and mixed media.

After obtaining her "A" Level in Art from University of London, Kris studied at Eckerd College, Florida, Ohio State University and the University of California at Santa Cruz, as well as abroad.

She first exhibited her art work in California at the Eden (Omware) Gallery in Davenport. Her oil paintings and watercolors have been exhibited in several galleries since 1999.
She has actively taught art in Southern Orange County for the Art in Action Program, as a volunteer with SPECTRA Arts Program in Santa Cruz County, and for the Central Sierra Art Council through their Arts Reach to Schools Program.

As a speaker, she has given presentations on various aspects of the visual arts to the members of The Professional Artist's Association of Groveland, CA, the Mother Lode Art Association of Sonora, CA, the Arts Association of Modesto, and many others.

Kristine has also written many articles on pigments and color which have been published in The Fine Arts Magazine. For several years she was the Art Books Editor for The Fine Arts Magazine.
